Visit of National Human Rights Commission

 

On 1st August 2013, the students of 2nd year 2nd semester of Department of Law and Human Rights of University of Asia Pacific visited National Human Rights Commission to know the legal initiatives taken by the Commission for the promotion and protection of Human Rights in Bangladesh since they have a course in this semester named Human Rights and Humanitarian Law (Law-235).Eminent academician of the country Mr. Professor Dr. Mizanur Rahman, Chairman National Human Rights Commission instructed the students about the establishment & functions of the Commission established under National Human Rights Commission Act, 2009. By this visit the students have gathered first-hand knowledge about the powers, functions and complaint procedure of the Commission. The students finished the visit with tremendous academic output under the guidance of Nazia Wahab, Assistant Professor and Mr. Abdullah Al Noman, Lecturer and course teacher of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law of Dept. of Law and Human Rights, UAP.
